How can I access the NCToronto Student Portal?

Once accepted to NCT, you will receive an email with your login credentials for the NCToronto Student Portal. Click on the link in the email to access the portal for the first time and then create a personal password to activate your account.

How do I apply to Niagara College – Toronto (NCT)?

NCT can help you achieve your academic and professional goals.

Visit our website to see the programs we offer, choose the program that best meets your needs, then apply online. If you are being supported by an NCT registered agent, please let them know you are interested in applying to NCT.

 

Note: Submitting multiple applications to NCT will most likely cause delays in your application.


How can I submit my visa on NCToronto Student Portal?

To submit your visa:

  1. Log in to NCToronto Student Portal and click on “Documents” on the lefthand menu.
  2. Click on “My Documents”, located in the centre of the screen
  3. Scroll down and select “Study Permit” then click on the arrow.
  4. Select “Upload file” or drag and drop your documents into the folder.

What are the requirements needed to receive an offer of admission?

The admission requirements may vary depending on the program and the country or education system the applicant completed their most recent study in. Please check country-specific program requirements here.

Please ensure that proof of all admission requirements is submitted along with the online application form.

 

Note: A scanned original copy must be provided along with notarized English-translated copies of all mandatory documents.


How can I select a timetable on NCToronto Student Portal?

You will receive an email stating that you are eligible to select and confirm your timetable.

To select a timetable:

  1. Log in to NCToronto Student Portal and click on “Timetable” on the lefthand menu.
  2. Review the options offered for your weekly timetable in the “Choose timetable block” section.
  3. Choose the timetable block that suits you most and then click on “Confirm”.
  4. Finalize your timetable block request by typing your name in the field and clicking “Submit”.

You will receive a message confirming your selection.

Can I use the diplomas and transcripts from my country to apply to Niagara College - Toronto (NCT)?

Yes, you can submit a scanned original copy of your transcripts and graduation diploma along with notarized English-translated copies. Please check country-specific program requirements here.


Is there an application fee?

All applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of $100 CAD.


Are there any scholarships that I can apply for?

Yes, Niagara College – Toronto (NCT) offers several scholarships for students. Learn more about these awards here.

Please note that Entrance Scholarships should be requested when first submitting your online application form. Once your eligibility is confirmed by an NCT Admissions Officer, your Letter of Acceptance (LOA) will reflect such an award.

 

Note: NCT may not be able to accommodate scholarship requests if an LOA has already been issued to the student.


How do I confirm my acceptance?

To confirm your acceptance, log in to the NCToronto Student Portal and reserve a seat in your desired program. Your login credentials to access the portal will be emailed to you.

How long does it take to receive a Letter of Acceptance (LOA)?

The standard processing time to receive your LOA is 10 business days from the day of submitting your documents, providing all documents are sent correctly and you meet the admission requirements. There may be instances where this process may take longer. Please check your NCToronto Student Portal for updates.


Where can I find my Letter of Acceptance (LOA)?

You can find your LOA on the NCToronto Student Portal under the section "Issued Letters".

What should I do if I have not received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) after applying?

Your offer may be on hold due to pending, incomplete, or ineligible documents/information.

What should I do if there is incorrect information in my Letter of Acceptance (LOA) or Conditional Letter of Acceptance (CLOA)? or 

How can I change incorrect information in my Letter of Acceptance (LOA)?

After an LOA or CLOA has been issued, you will be able to request corrections via the NCToronto Student Portal.

If you are requesting corrections be made to your personal information, you will be required to upload supporting documents to confirm your personal information. After an internal review, a new LOA or CLOA will be issued with the revised information.

Can I accept my offer and change my mind later?

After the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) is issued, you will have a limited amount of time to submit a deferral request for a future intake or a withdrawal request via the NCToronto Student Portal.

What should I do after I receive a Conditional Letter of Acceptance (CLOA)?

To be eligible to study at Niagara College – Toronto (NCT), please upload any pending documents via the NCToronto Student Portal.

Once the Admissions Office has reviewed and confirmed that you have met all the conditions in your offer, you will be issued an unconditional Letter of Acceptance (LOA).

Can I defer my acceptance to a future semester?

Yes, that may be possible.  After a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) is issued, you will have a limited amount of time to submit a deferral request for a future intake or a withdrawal request via the NCToronto Student Portal.

Can I change my enrollment to an earlier semester?

It is possible if the application period is open, seats are available and you meet the admission requirements.


How do I defer my offer until the next term?

To request a deferral:

  1. Log in to the NCToronto Student Portal and click on “Academic” on the lefthand menu.
  2. Choose “Deferral Request”.
  3. Fill out the sections and press “Submit”.

Note: Deferral requests are final. Once the request has been submitted, it cannot be cancelled or reversed.


How long will it take to get my deferral Letter of Acceptance (LOA) or Conditional Letter of Acceptance (CLOA)?

Processing time for a deferral LOA or CLOA is between 10-15 business days. Once the process is completed, you will receive a new LOA or CLOA, which will be available on the NCToronto Student Portal.


Can I cancel a deferral request?

Cannot change.


Can I get an extension for the payment deadline stated in my Letter of Acceptance (LOA)/Conditional Letter of Acceptance (CLOA)? 

All fees must be received no later than the date indicated on your invoice, which can be found in the NCToronto Student Portal. Please note you must meet the deadline stated, as no extensions will be given.


What is the cancellation policy?

Withdrawal and cancellation policies vary depending on the program start date. For more information, please visit the Withdrawal & Refund Process page.


Which English tests are accepted in the application?

English proficiency requirements vary depending on the exam taken, intended program of study and country of origin of the applicant. For more information, please visit the Language Proficiency page.


Can I be exempted from the Proof of English (POE) requirement?

Is it possible to transfer my application from Niagara College (NC) Welland Campus or Niagara-on-the-lake Campus to Niagara College – Toronto (NCT)?

Cannot change


Is it possible to change my program before I begin classes?

Program changes are processed as new applications. First, request a withdrawal from your current program in the NCToronto Student Portal and then submit a new application for the next available intake. You must agree to forego your seat when you submit a withdrawal request. Please note that program changes are final.

In order to be considered for another program, the application period needs to be open, seats need to be available and you must meet the admission requirements. Please confirm that seats are available in the new program before requesting a withdrawal from your current program.


Why does my Letter of Acceptance (LOA) appear as “cancelled” on the NC Student Portal?

All LOAs have an expiry date and a payment deadline, which are the same. If your LOA has expired, it means that the payment was not processed and you no longer have a seat in the program. Please resubmit your application.


How long does it take for the deferral Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to become available in the NCToronto Student Portal?

A deferral without program changes requires up to 5 business days to process. If there are any program changes or complications which require additional approval, this process can be delayed.
