Configure your Microsoft Authenticator Application
Option 1: Register on your Apple or Android device (Recommended)
1. Go to the Apple or Android Play store and download the Microsoft Authenticator application.
2. Open the application and click on “I agree”
3. Select “Scan a QR code”.
4. This will bring up the screen on your cellphone that will allow you to scan the QR code that you will access on your computer.
5. On your computer go to the following website to access the QR code:

6. You will need to sign in with your current authentication method. Use your Niagara College – Toronto (NCT) Student Identification and password.
This will bring you to the Additional Security Verification page.

7. Go to the section, “What’s your preferred option?” on the Additional Security Verification page.
8. Use the drop-down menu to select “Notify me through app”.
9. Click on “Set up Authenticator app” on the same page under “Authenticator app or Token” section.
10. You will then get the following pop-up. Scan the QR code with your cellphone. Then click “Next”.
11. You will then be asked to approve the sign-in on your cellphone. Click “APPROVE”.
You have now completed MFA Setup for the Microsoft Authenticator application.
